Dashboard redesign
Making our saas product more usable
The dashboard wasn't working well for our admin users. How can we make it more efficient and aide our admins in completing their tasks..

Insights from user tests
I struggle with trusting the
platform. I keep a separate
spreadsheet of referrals made because the dashboard is a little confusing. Our employees are not using the referral links to make their referrals.

I want to be able to export data into an excel because I'm constantly clicking and looking through the names. I'd like to be able to search a name, but I'd love to export to excel. I currently copy and paste the data out.

Further insights
-
Issues with getting employees to sign-up and make referrals.
-
Cognitive overload when working through the payments table on the dashboard.
-
Lack of options to export the data for reporting.

We worked in an agile environment, utilising insights gathered from usability tests with our admin users, to inform the new dashboard design. MVP 1 was built and has been evolving ever since, guided by insights gathered from the Customer success team.

Further insights...

Our employees are not using the referral links to make their referrals. Also, referrals are clicking into the job listings on the right and the referral links are breaking.

Some of the problems that arose when looking at the dashboard usability highlighted that the sign-up pages weren't working as hard as they could.

The new sign-up page
This page had to work as a template sign-up page that each of our clients could use with their own branding. Some of the issues with the referral links breaking was a code issue we quickly fixed.
However, we wanted this page to briefly educate our users about the platform and nudge them to sign up by removing distractions of job listings at this point and focus on the referral bonus opportunity.

We moved the needle...
Candidate numbers went up and we were only halfway through the year. The improvements we made so far were making an impact. Our client now had more referred candidates in the pipeline.
